About the party

Yashar: a list for the 26th Knesset with 120 candidates. The scores rest on the record of 6 of the candidates in previous Knessets. Plenum votes on bills are included up to 28 July 2026, and committee discussions up to 24 March 2026.

Yashar is a party founded by Gadi Eisenkot, a former Chief of Staff, on 16 September 2025, about two and a half months after he left National Unity, headed by Benny Gantz, and resigned from the Knesset. Its founders include Yoav Horowitz, former director general of the Prime Minister's Office, Matan Kahana, Shir Segal, Tal Russo and Manuel Trajtenberg. This is the first time the party is running in a Knesset election. According to its goals as registered with the Registrar of Parties, it seeks to ensure Israel's existence as a national home for the Jewish people and as a Jewish and democratic state in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence, and to strengthen national security. On 6 September 2026, a joint run was agreed with the Zionist Home party, headed by MK Hili Tropper, who was placed at No. 6. The list was submitted on 7 September 2026, headed by Eisenkot, followed by Yoram Cohen, former head of the Shin Bet, former minister Orit Farkash-HaCohen and Adi Altschuler.
