About the party

United Torah Judaism: a list for the 26th Knesset with 118 candidates. The scores rest on the record of 13 of the candidates in previous Knessets. Plenum votes on bills are included up to 28 July 2026, and committee discussions up to 24 March 2026.

United Torah Judaism is a joint list of Degel HaTorah, which represents the Lithuanian Haredi public, and of Agudat Yisrael, which represents the Hasidic public. The two united in 1992 in order to pass the electoral threshold. The list received 8 seats in April 2019 and then 7 seats in each of the four elections that followed it, the last in 2022. In July 2025 it left the coalition amid the dispute over the draft law. The list for the 26th Knesset was submitted on 8 September 2026 under the name Torah and Shabbat Judaism - Agudat Yisrael, and includes three frameworks: Degel HaTorah, Agudat Yisrael and Homat Torat Yisrael. It is headed by Yaakov Asher of Degel HaTorah, followed by Yitzhak Goldknopf, Yitzhak Pindrus and Meir Porush. According to the decision of Rabbi Dov Lando, leader of the Lithuanian public, Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev are not on the list.
