About

Yitzhak Goldknopf: No. 2 on the list of United Torah Judaism for the 26th Knesset. In previous Knessets: votes on 159 bills and attendance at 19 committee sessions. Plenum votes on bills are included up to 28 July 2026, and committee discussions up to 24 March 2026.

Yitzhak Goldknopf, born in Jerusalem in 1950, is a Haredi educator who ran networks of Talmud Torah schools and kindergartens. He has headed the Agudat Yisrael faction within United Torah Judaism since 2022, and serves as a Member of Knesset. He served as Construction and Housing Minister and as a minister in the Prime Minister's Office from December 2022 until he resigned from the government in June 2025 in protest of the failure of the draft law for Haredim. He drew sharp criticism when he compared fallen national religious IDF soldiers with hostages, and also for a trip on the Sabbath at the start of the war and a sailing vacation shortly afterward. In the elections for the 26th Knesset he is running at No. 2 on the United Torah Judaism list.
