About

Ram Ben-Barak, a former senior Mossad officer who served as head of the Caesarea Division and deputy head of the Mossad (from 2009 to 2011), joined Yesh Atid in January 2018 and has been a Member of Knesset continuously since 2019. He chaired the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (from 2021 to 2022). In 1991 he was arrested in Cyprus with three other Mossad agents in the affair of the wiretapping of the Iranian embassy, was convicted of trespass, fined and released. In March 2024 he lost the party primaries to party chair Yair Lapid by 29 votes. He is running at No. 12 on the Beyahad list for the 26th Knesset.
