Idit Silman, Minister of Environmental Protection, served in the 21st and 24th Knessets for the Jewish Home-Union of Right-Wing Parties and Yamina, and has served for Likud since December 2022. In April 2022, as coalition chair in the Bennett government, she left the coalition in a dispute over chametz policy in hospitals, a step that led to the loss of the coalition majority and the dissolution of the government. She formerly worked in education and in management at a health fund. She is running for the 26th Knesset on the list of Likud with Benjamin Netanyahu, at No. 46.
