About

Yosef Taieb: No. 9 on the list of Shas for the 26th Knesset. In previous Knessets: votes on 1,275 bills and attendance at 421 committee sessions. Plenum votes on bills are included up to 28 July 2026, and committee discussions up to 24 March 2026.

Yosef Taieb has been a Member of Knesset for Shas since 2020, and is considered the representative of immigrants from France in the faction. He was born in Paris in 1981, immigrated to Israel at the age of 15, studied at the Mir yeshiva and served in the Signal Corps in the Givati Brigade, and received rabbinical ordination. He served as deputy head of the Kiryat Yearim council and as chair of the Education, Culture and Sports Committee, from which he resigned in October 2025 following criticism of his remarks about his son's draft into the IDF. In 2026 he is running with Shas at No. 9.
